Simaqua‑F

The SIMAQUA‑F soft­ware deve­lo­ped by FABES can be used to esti­ma­te the migra­ti­on of sub­s­tances from mono- or mul­ti-lay­er pla­s­tic mate­ri­als into the drin­king water of, for exam­p­le, a house, a restau­rant or an indus­tri­al com­plex. It is pos­si­ble to con­sider cont­act mate­ri­als with cylind­ri­cal geo­me­try, such as tho­se found in drin­king water pipes, as well as cont­act mate­ri­als with pla­nar geo­me­try. If the water con­sump­ti­on sce­na­rio, a “repea­ted use” event, is known, this soft­ware can be used to esti­ma­te the con­ta­mi­na­ti­on of drin­king water with sub­s­tances, e.g. from the pla­s­tic pipe, for peri­ods of time ran­ging from zero to 99 years. In the cal­cu­la­ti­ons with SIMAQUA‑F, it can be taken into account that the water from the main pipe is pure or alre­a­dy con­ta­ins cer­tain amounts of sub­s­tances that also occur in the pla­s­tic pipes of the house.
