Privacy Policy

Data protection

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

Data protection is a fundamental right, which is why FABES Forschungs-GmbH would like to inform you in detail about the handling of personal data. Personal data is data that can be used to identify you personally.

This data protection declaration informs customers to what extent and for what purpose personal data is collected and processed.

Data collection and processing for accesses from the Internet

For downloads in the separate software download area of FABES Forschungs-GmbH, the following personal data about access to the server is stored:

- User name of the logged-in user;

- Host name of the accessing computer (IP address);

- Date and time of the server enquiry.

When accessing the pages accessible without logging in, only data required for the correct display of the content (e.g. the language selected by the user) is collected.

In the interests of data protection, we do not use tracking tools, automated decision-making or profiling.

When you access our website, the device you use to access the page automatically transmits log files (connection data) to the server. These log files contain the IP address of the device, the type of browser, the website you visited previously, your system configuration and the date and time. The storage of IP addresses in log files serves to detect and defend against attacks and takes place for a maximum of 9 weeks.

Data collection and processing for orders

If you order analyses or other goods (e.g. by online form via this website, e‑mail or mail), the address data provided will only be used for the purpose of processing the order or for customer surveys. In addition, in certain cases it is necessary to mention your company name to your suppliers in order to obtain specific recipe information on your samples. This information is then required for the preparation of a specific offer.

The address data is stored in the customer database of FABES Forschungs-GmbH. You can revoke your automatic consent to the storage and the aforementioned use of your personal data at any time by telephone, e‑mail, fax or post.

Use of the data

In the case of access from the Internet, the automatically stored data is not used for analyses.

In the case of orders, the data is only used for the purpose of fulfilling and processing the order and for customer surveys that are necessary for quality assurance as part of accreditation. Participation is voluntary.

In addition, in certain cases it is necessary to provide your company name to your suppliers in order to obtain specific recipe information about your samples. This information is then required for the preparation of a specific offer.

You can revoke your automatic consent to the storage and aforementioned use of your personal data associated with the order (see above) at any time by telephone, e‑mail, fax or post.

You are also entitled to have incorrect data corrected, deleted or processing restricted at any time. The cancellation, correction or deletion of personal data is only possible if there is no legal obligation to retain data.

The use of the rights mentioned here by means of an informal request is free of charge and does not require any reasons to be given.
